Projects in Christchurch:
With the sale of the Mary Potter Hospital the Sisters made the decision to extend the present 17 Mary Potter Villas for elderly people.
Stage 1: Currently the 13 additional Villas under construction will be rental accomodation for independant, low income over 60's tenants.
Stage 2: The Mary Potter Community Centre is to built on Little Company of Mary land later this year. The Centre will include a Hall where the Eucharist can be celebrated, and for activities and functions. The Region Office and an Archives Room will also be housed in the Centre that will surrounded by a rose garden and Marian Grotto.
Family Life International: The LCM have financially supported the recent establishment in a Christchurch suburb of Bethlehem House, a branch of Family Life International facility for Family Education promoting Pope John Paul's "Gospel of Life" message and dealing with crisis pregnancies. Two sisters are on the Advisory Board of Bethlehem House.
